Kuszczak keeps open mind

Kuszczak keeps open mind Tomasz Kuszczak is keeping an open mind as he battles to become the No.1 at Manchester United.

Dutch veteran Edwin van der Sar is set to hang up his gloves at the end of the season and speculation is rife as to his long-term successor.

The Red Devils have already brought in Anders Lindegaard but are also thought to want an established No.1 to replace the veteran.

While Sunderland's Craig Gordon, Manuel Neuer of Schalke, Ajax's Maarten Stekelenburg and Lyon's Hugo Lloris have all been linked with the role, Kuszczak, who is currently enjoying a run in the side in Van der Sar's absence, is keeping an open mind as to Sir Alex Ferguson's intentions.

The Poland international, who joined United in 2006 from West Brom, told the Manchester Evening News: "I know I have not got the biggest name in the world but, and I don't want this to sound arrogant, I think I am good enough.

"I have talked to the boss a few times and he said we will see what happens at the end of the season and I know that in the meantime if I get a chance I have to play well because that is the only way I am going to impress him.

"If the club decide I am not good enough for them then I will have to go somewhere else.

"If Sir Alex Ferguson decides at the end of the season I am not good enough then I will look for another club.
