Clarets make Howe approach

Clarets make Howe approachFront News understands Burnley have made an official approach for Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe.

The Clarets have been searching for a new manager ever since they decided to axe Brian Laws in December, with Stuart Gray placed in caretaker charge.

The Turf Moor outfit have been linked with a host of managers, with Howe, Norwich boss Paul Lambert and Watford's Malky Mackay all in their sights.

Cherries chief Howe has emerged as one of the most sought-after men in England with the managerial merry-go-round currently spinning at a dizzying rate following a spate of sackings around the turn of the year.

Howe has seen himself linked with Crystal Palace and Charlton on top of Burnley's interest, but the 33-year-old pledged his future to the Dean Court side earlier this week.

However, that has not deterred the Championship club, who have now made their interest official with the League One outfit.

Bournemouth will not give up Howe's services without a fight and it remains to be seen if Burnley's latest attempt to bring a new man into their hot-seat will end in frustration once again.
