David Beckham says he is delighted to link up with Tottenham after the club confirmed he will train there until February 10th.
Manager Harry Redknapp ruled out a two-month loan move for the LA Galaxy midfielder on Sunday, revealing insurance issues had obstructed any possible deal.
But Spurs have confirmed the 35-year-old will train with the club's first team for three weeks before returning to the USA ahead of the start of the MLS campaign.
"It's important that I maintain a high level of fitness during the MLS off season," former England captain Beckham told Tottenham's official website.
"I'm thankful to Tottenham and Harry Redknapp for giving me the opportunity to train with the team over the next month.
