Palestinian Shot, Killed at Israeli Checkpoint

Israeli soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian man early Sunday after he allegedly tried to attack the troops with a bottle at a West Bank checkpoint.
Israeli officials says the man ignored orders to stop as he approached the soldiers at the checkpoint near the city of Nablus.
An Israeli military spokeswoman says the deadly incident took place hours after a Palestinian man armed with a knife tried to stab two female soldiers near Jerusalem.
Separately, a Palestinian woman was buried Sunday, one day after she died from exposure to tear gas used by Israeli troops during a West Bank protest Friday.
Jawaher Abu Rahma was among a group demonstrating against an Israeli separation wall in the town of Bilin.
Palestinian officials describe the woman's as death a war crime.  Israeli officials say they are investigating the incident. (From VOA)
