Gerrard could play till 36

Gerrard could play till 36Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has set his sights on playing for another five years.

The England star, who made his first-team debut in November 1998, turns 31 in May and admits he has contemplated his future once he hangs up his boots.

The Reds midfielder is undecided whether he will follow team-mate Jamie Carragher by taking his coaching badges.

But he insists he wants to carry on playing for as long as possible, saying his retirement date is not a pressing concern.

"It's not my main priority or focus at the moment, I still think that's a long way off," Gerrard told the club's official magazine.

"I believe I can play football for another four or five years but I do sometimes think about what I'm going to do when I finish playing.
