Coyle - No Cahill contact

Bolton boss Owen Coyle insists he has received no offers for Gary Cahill, and would not welcome any.

The commanding centre-half, who made his senior England debut in September 2010, continues to be linked with a number of top clubs.

Arsenal and Tottenham are among those believed to be leading the chase, with Cahill having matured into one of the Premier League's most assured defenders.

Coyle is well aware that he has quite an asset on his hands, with Bolton having helped to mould Cahill into the player he is today.

The Scot has no plans to part with his prized asset, though, as the Trotters remain in the hunt for a European place this season.

He claims to have not had to fend off any advances during the January transfer window so far, and insists there is no chance of a sale being agreed until at least the summer.

"I have had no dialogue with any manager about Gary Cahill," said Coyle.

"The best time for players of that quality to move is in the summer, when they can bed in with a top club."
