Iraqi police say two bombings rocked a government compound in the western city of Ramadi Monday, killing at least seven people and wounding scores of others.
Details are sketchy, with authorities saying the death toll could be at least 17.
A police official at the site said the blasts were caused by two successive bombs. One is said to be a car bomb, followed closely by a suicide bomber who blew himself up. Officials said most of the victims were policemen.
A suicide car bomber attacked provincial offices in Ramadi, 100 kilometers west of Baghdad, on December 12, killing 13 and wounding more than 20.
