Time not on Fabio's side

Fabio Capello chose not to discuss England's appeal for a penalty against Montenegro but did take umbrage with the amount of stoppage time awarded in the second half.

The Three Lions played out a disappointing goalless draw versus Montenegro at Wembley to leave Capello's men second in Group G, three points behind Tuesday's opponents.

But England might have won the game had referee Manuel Grafe pointed to the spot when Milan Jovanovic appeared to handle in the area.

Yet there was nothing doing from the German official, who then decided on three minutes of second half injury-time despite several bookings and five substitutions.
